The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and posts monthly accruals (A/P, ancillary) and standard/adjusting journal entries; generates final GL activity and ensures accurate revenue reconciliation between accounting and A/R systems.
- Maintains and updates fixed asset schedules; assists with annual cost reports, capital improvement files, and audit support, including state capital report filings.
- Supports compliance and reporting requirements, including HUD replacement reserve reimbursements and semi-annual accounting packages for Expedited Payment Status based on occupancy criteria.
- Maintains accurate accounting records and documentation, ensures timely filing, and provides treasury support (e.g., check clearing) and other assigned accounting duties.
Requisitos
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting proven work experience. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Netsuite preferably.
- Reliable, independent with attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Candidates must be Panamanian citizens or hold a valid work permit for employment in Panama
- Advanced-Level English language skills (verbal and written).
