We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing financial activities, completing the full accounting cycle, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. Primary Responsibilities

Full Accounting Cycle

• Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
• Reviewing monthly P&Ls
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Financial Statement Preparation

• Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Ensure financial statements comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation

Financial Analysis

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Review and process vendor invoices and customer payments

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements
• Compile data for tax filing
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external audits

Stakeholder Engagement

• Ensure transparent communication between all relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues that arise
• Proactively inform management of concerns or barriers to achieving objectives (e.g., financial results or meeting timelines)

Requisitos

• Candidates must be Panamanian citizens or hold a valid work permit for employment in Panama.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and US GAAP
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Advanced-level English language skills.
• This role requires candidates to work onsite at our office in the Tower Financial Center.
